Batson Creek from the head of the Creek looking towards Snapes Point |
Buckley Cottage is possibly being
sold in 2010 but please feel free to make rental enquiries too.
Buckley Cottage is a charming, stone-built house, parts of which are thought to be 450+ years old - this makes
it one of the most historic holiday cottages in Salcombe. It is in the picturesque hamlet of Lower Batson, at the
head of Batson Creek on the Salcombe / Kingsbridge Estuary - just a short walk from the bustling town centre of
Salcombe itself.

The cottage is in a delightfully peaceful setting
and yet within easy walking distance of everything that Salcombe and the estuary have to offer. This makes it a
wonderful location for a holiday or a long weekend break, for families, couples or groups of
friends.
Summary of accommodation
The cottage comfortably sleeps up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms: 1 spacious double; 1 with bunk beds, a built-in sofa/single bed + a
"sled-bed" under it; and 1 small one, again with bunk beds. It can stretch to 10 if you don't mind using the
double sofa-bed in the sitting room.
There's a large open-plan sitting / dining room with a big stone fireplace and wood-burning stove, and a
well-equipped kitchen / breakfast room. To complete the accommodation, there’s a
bathroom and a separate loo.
