Welcome to Buckley Cottage
Buckley
Cottage, like many self catering holiday cottages in
Salcombe, is a charming, stone-built house that is many
centuries old.
Situated at
the head of Batson Creek on the Salcombe / Kingsbridge
Estuary, the cottage is in a wonderful location for a
holiday or a weekend
break.
The cottage is just a
short walk from Salcombe town but is in a more tranquil
setting as you can tell from the picture of Batson Creek
above.
Cottage
accommodation
The cottage
has 3 bedrooms - 1 double, 1 with a bunk and a double
futon and 1 small one with a bunk bed. There's a
bathroom and a separate
loo, a large open-plan
living room /
dining room with a big stone fireplace and
wood-burning stove, and a well-equipped
kitchen / breakfast
room.
The cottage
sleeps 6 / 8 but can stretch to 10 if you don't mind using a
sofa-bed that is in the sitting room. We had 14 people there
for the total eclipse of the sun in 1999 but it was a bit of a
squeeze.
details on the menu below. The cottage makes for ideal
self-catering holiday accommodation.
