Weekend Breaks
in Salcombe

Buckley Cottage is available for short rents
outside the peak season of July and August which makes it a
good base for weekend breaks in Salcombe. The grass really
is greener here in the depths of winter and all the seasons are
warmer and imbued with more colour. What is more, summer
generally comes early in South Devon and lingers on well into
the autumn months too.
In the late autumn it's always a pleasure to return to a
roaring fire in the wood-burning stove after a walk on Bolberry
Down or up by Overbecks.
In the spring, the migrating birds return and you can see
egrets up and down the creek.
The cottage is near many beaches, great walks, wonderful restaurants and
shops and there are also opportunities to get on the water most
of the year round. We use the cottage a lot for weekends
and it's a great "get away", especially if you are looking for
tranquillity yet easy access to a range of facilities.
You'll return home feeling like you've been away for a real
break.
